RUNCORN SAXONS FC SECURES MAJOR FACILITIES BOOST THROUGH ENHANCED PARTNERSHIP WITH SANDYMOOR ORMISTON ACADEMY

Runcorn Saxons FC is delighted to announce a major step forward in the Club’s ambitious five year development plan following an enhanced partnership agreement with Sandymoor Ormiston Academy (SOA).

The agreement will see all affiliated Runcorn Saxons FC teams utilise SOA’s high-quality 3G facility for their winter training programme from September through to April each season, providing guaranteed access to excellent training facilities across a 31-week winter training schedule.

In a further boost for the partnership, Runcorn Saxons FC has also been accepted onto the Football Foundation’s prestigious 10 year PitchPower funding programme. The funding will support significant improvements to the Club’s home 11v11 grass pitch at Sandymoor Ormiston Academy benefitting the academic PE requirements for the schools pupils, with improvement works commencing immediately.

The combined developments represent a major investment in the future of grassroots football within the local community and provide a sustainable platform for the Club’s continued growth.

The strengthened partnership delivers a “belt and braces” approach to facilities provision, ensuring that Runcorn Saxons FC can offer both quality training and matchday environments for players across all age groups.

The agreement secures:

Guaranteed access to SOA’s 3G facilities for all affiliated teams throughout the winter season (September-April)

• A 31-week structured winter training programme for all teams
• Enhanced playing conditions through the Football Foundation PitchPower improvement scheme
• Access to 3G facilities for league home fixtures for Foundation and Youth level teams
• Long term facility security that supports the Club’s continued growth and development pathways

These developments underline Runcorn Saxons FC’s commitment to providing the very best opportunities for its players, coaches and volunteers while strengthening ties with key community partners.
