Runcorn Saxons Football Club an England Football Accredited Club formed in 2019
The Clubs motto ‘Magis Quam A Clava’ is Latin for ‘More Than A Club’ which is the basis of our ‘One Club’ vision and a clear symbol of togetherness and unity with a clear Player Progression Pathway from Reception age 4 years old to Adult Open Age association football, in a fun, structured and safe environment. We try our best to be an inclusive Club that strive to provide opportunities for children and adults regardless of their age, gender, disability, religion, or ability.
The traditional club colours are Maroon and White. Our league and cup matches are mainly contested across Liverpool, Cheshire, Wirral and Warrington with training sessions taking place at our Club home facilities based at Pewithall Primary School, Westfield Primary School and Sandymoor Ormiston Academy from spring through to early autumn. During winter training you can find all Saxons teams training on floodlit facilities.
We’re always on the lookout for new members, whether you’re a new player or a parent looking to join the coaching staff, we’re a friendly club, we’d be happy to have you on board. If you’re a business owner wanting to put back into the community, you may be interested in supporting a local grassroots football club through sponsorship. For more information on how you can get involved with the Saxons, please get in touch!
Our Player Pathway starts at our Foundation sessions and is at the forefront of kids ‘Play Phase’ football in Runcorn & Halton – The Foundation for boys and girls football aged 4-6 or Reception or Year 1 children.
