We all have a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour in the game. In The FA’s survey of 37,000 grassroots participants, behaviour was the biggest concern in the game. This included the abuse of match officials and the unacceptable behaviour of over competitive parents, spectators and coaches on the sideline. As part of the Saxons Football Club you must endeavour to play your part and observe The Football Association’s Respect Code of Conduct in everything you do.
*
I have read the above
On and off the field, I will: • Show respect to others involved in the game including match officials, opposition players, coaches, managers, officials and spectators • Adhere to the laws and spirit of the game • Promote fair play and standards of behaviour • Always respect the match official’s decision • Never enter the field of play without the referee’s permission • Never engage in public criticism of the match officials • Never engage in or tolerate, offensive, insulting, or abusive language or behaviour
*
I agree to adhere to the above
When working with players, I will: • Place the wellbeing, safety and enjoyment of each player above everything, including winning • Explain exactly what I expect of players and what they can expect from me • Ensure all parents/carers of all players under the age of 18 understand these expectations • Never engage in or tolerate any form of bullying • Develop mutual trust and respect with every player to build their self-esteem • Encourage each player to accept responsibility for their own behaviour and performance • Ensure all activities I organise are appropriate for the players ability, age and maturity • Cooperate fully with others in football (e.g. officials, doctors, physiotherapists, welfare officers) for each player’s best interest
*
I agree to adhere to the above
Adhere to the Saxons Football Club’s Philosophy: Your Teams Playing style: • Be creative in all offensive play • Be offensive in all game phases • Try to be combinative in possession • Play with intensity
*
I agree to adhere to the above
Follow the Clubs guidelines set out below: • Take pride in your teams’ preparation • All sessions must be planned and documented • Try to be better than the opponents in sportsmanship • Try to play better football than your opponent • Challenge yourself to seek CPD opportunities to ensure we and they remain connected to development. • Try to put a WIN on the scoreboard
*
I agree to adhere to the above

Specifically (but not limited to), any of the following related issues connected in any way to the Saxons Football Club and its volunteers will be deemed as a breach of the code of conduct: • Negative comments • Inappropriate images • Bullying • Criticism • Racism • Sexist or derogatory remarks This not only impacts negatively on the people they are about, but they also reflect badly on yourself, your child, your child’s team and on your representation of the Saxons Football Club. If you are found to have acted improperly on social media or messaging platforms by specifically breaching any/all of this code of conduct regarding a football or Saxons Football Club related matter, then a zero-tolerance approach will be taken by the Saxons Football Club Committee.
*
I agree to adhere to the above
I understand that if I do not follow this Code of Conduct, any or all of the following actions may be taken by The Saxons Football Club, The County FA, The League or The FA: • Required to meet with the Saxons Football Club Committee, The League, or the Club Welfare Officer • Monitored by another Saxons Football Club Coach • Required to attend an FA Education Course • Suspended by the Saxons Football Club from attending matches • Suspended or fined by the County FA • Required to leave or be removed from the Saxons Football Club • My FACA (FA Coaches Association) membership may be withdrawn
